Mayekawa donates a refrigeration room and freezer room to Colombia’s National Institute of Health
MAYEKAWA MFG. CO., LTD. donated a refrigeration room and freezer room to the National Institute of Health in Colombia, contributing to the country’s efforts in dealing with the COVID-19 virus.
In conjunction with this, a donation ceremony was held at the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs office on Friday, February 19, 2021. Attendees included Claudia Blum de Barberi, Foreign Minister; Keiichiro Morishita, Ambassador of Japan to Colombia; Santiago Pardo Salguero, Ambassador of Colombia to Japan; Martha Lucía Ospina Martínez, Director General of Colombia’s National Institute of Health; and Juan Carlos Melo, Representative for Mayekawa Colombia S.A.S.
Mayekawa started operations in Columbia 40 years ago in 1981. Since then, it has been a leader in freezing and air conditioning systems in the country, helping improve Colombia’s cold chain through its products and services. The donation, embodying the company’s track record, was made as a social contribution in support of the Colombian government.
