The Verka Milk Plant in India installs Water source CO2 heat pump "unimoWW"
The first "unimoWW" in India is installed at the second biggest milk company "Verka Food Product" at Punjab. The system was installed by The Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), which is working in tandem with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) to promote and expedite the application of Japan low-carbon technology in India which release the highest greenhouse gas emissions in the world.
"The target is to achieve energy efficiency and adopt environment-friendly technology. If all goes well, the system will be installed in other milk plants as well" said Milkfed Managing Director Alaknanda Dayal.
